The Construction of the Khlong Mahasawat – Petchkasem Water Transmission Tunnel Project (JV.20)

talian-Thai Development Public Company Limited (ITD) is pleased to provide the latest update on the Construction of the Khlong Mahasawat – Petchkasem Water Transmission Tunnel Project along the Ratchaphruek Road (JV.20) as part of the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority’s 9th Masterplan Improvement Project.
The works of the Project are as follows:
•The design and construction of shafts and the tunnel; and
• The design and installation of associated mechanical, electrical, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
The construction works for the Water Transmission Tunnel include excavation using TBM2, a tunnel boring machine with an outer diameter of 4,390mm and the assembly of the required concrete tunnel segments.
The tunnel has an inner diameter of 3,400mm (3,765mm outer diameter), and a length of 358m has been excavated from the planned total length of 6,840m.
The current progress of the Project is at 29.00%.
